I build my objects out of slabs of clay or by the coil technique.
My forms often have an organic feel even if they
do not represent a specific form found in nature.  I love texture and color, often achieving an organic feel through the glaze process.

I often intuit my forms rather than working from a sketch. In this way, my forms are often found within the clay rather than willed from it. I also enjoy serendipity, a factor in my "found forms".

For me the entire process - selecting the clay body to enhance the object to be made, preparing the clay to be worked, the feel of the clay in my hands as the form begins to take shape - is a calming experience, much like the comfort one feels in the ritual of bread making.
